It's a credibility indicator, but there are a lot of things bad about how it's being used (placement, dominance, jaggi-ness, etc).

It's nice to see them saying something meaningful about themselves on the homepage, but there's too much text. Needs to be more concise.

And the gradients need to go. What year is it?

Thought there was something broken at first. After checking in a couple browsers, I was wrong.

Huge white banner, random images at the bottom. I'd be curious to learn the motivation behind those design choices.

Not a fan of the typography either. They use white text on a yellow background. That's a cardinal error.

They also fall into the mold of other Fine Art schools who do weird and/or crazy stuff with the design because they think it's more interesting. If it doesn't add to your message or branding, it's getting in the way.

Images are meant to reinforce your message, not replace it. What is the picture of the band motivating me to do, act, or think? It's fine to use images to grab my attention so long as there's a point.
