Not sure why people dislike it - all the most important info seems to be on one page, in an intuitive layout that gives a good overview.

Really not keen on the autoscrolling news area on the right. Other than that, the design looks really nice to me. Yeah, I know, HTML tables for layout are The Enemy, but the site gives me a feeling of overview, order, and neatness...

It's not often that one sees that type of fiddly decoration on a university website. (That green stuff) It's something graphic designers often seem to like doing on their own sites. At first I thought "wow, that's different" and nearly gave it a My Style vote - but then I realised I actually find it quite distracting and showoffy and somewhat offputting.

I really like the concept. The only thing about the execution that I'm not quite convinced by is the strange footer.

(OK, it's not as strange as I thought, after all. I use IE6 in work, which renders the "more to think about" & related links segments rather asymmetrically and stacked. It looks less odd in Chrome.)

Other than that, just a teeny tad too much white in the background...

I like it. OK, so font is not very soft, but the layout is interesting and the site immediately made me want to find out what is there. It grabbed me in the way most site designs don't.

Does not work well in IE6. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Facebook must feel particularly flattered when seeing this. Personally, I'd just call it plagiarism.
