I didn't see the first version, so I will just comment on what I see.
Like the fact that there is thought about colors and that an attempt is made to make the site distinctive from the others. But it looks so much like a template that I can not vote for it.
I would recommend rethinking the logo, so that it stands out more, place more images through out the site, replace script border with something that blends into white, so it looks more fluid with the rest of the page, lose brown box (upper right corner) that restates the label of the section, and finally, find better images for each section that spans the whole page.

The logo font! Ack! It destroys an otherwise nice page.
