Very nice for a collegiate news site. Clean, professional, well-organized and intuitive. I would expect this layout and style to be emulated in both collegiate and professional publications.
This is meant to be a vehicle for people around campus in departments, offices and colleges who produce marketing materials and generate PR items to publish out more of their content to the internet. So repurposing/republishing content that typically goes out as a brochure, factoid, newsletter, or even gets posted to a web site that does not receive visits. Ideally the university will have lots of content managers producing stories about UCF and using this site to publish and extend the mileage of the content.
I would add a little more spacing / whitespace -- it seems rather crowded, but that didn't keep me from voting it my style. Good site. Really good use of those colors; I'm sure they're really hard to work with!

The "UCF in Photos" feature on the home page is incredible. Very nicely done. The feature is found below the midpoint of the home page.
Flickr + Highslide is the photo feature. It is actually now a WP plugin courtesy of our programming intern.
