Overall the design isn't bad, although it could use a lot of white-space adjusting, especially on the home page and navigation.

What really made me scream and run for the woods was the interior pages.. What is with this trend I've seen lately to have a center justified home page, then interior pages with somewhat fixed/liquid content left justified, and navigation floating far off touching the right hand side of the page? Are web designers assuming only people with 1024 or 1280 resolutions are visiting their site?

I think we need to hold a meeting and veto this trend forever.

This site does have potential but from first glance, it has way too many borders around almost every element.

The flash slideshow well takes way too long for the images to start playing. Clicking on a link in the lefthand navbar expands the menu with a scrollbar. I don't think this is good usability practice.

Too skinny, too much news. I have a feeling someone in controls "I want movement on the page!" and the web team had to load up the page with as much flash as possible. No usability considered. I have always considered a degree in "Canadian Studies" tho!

I'm sure this looked nice a few years ago, but it looks like they haven't made an effort to update the template in awhile.
Colors remind me of baby food. Everything is in tables / boxed in. A LOT of text.

Not a whole lot to like here for me, I'm afraid. The audience menu is a disaster - a scroll bar? really? The shift between the home and interior pages, as @TAdams mentioned, is a huge turn off on an already lackluster site.

Cons: Flash movie takes to long to load on DSL. Must be a nightmare on dial up. Muddy grays and browns make the site drab and boring. Red used in text for news (Never put text in red, unless it is on a black background (color blind people can't see it). Graphics are unappealing and don't appear to have a theme. Don't care for the navigation or the fact that most of the pages that link to the homepage look nothing like each other or the homepage, and the names of the links on the child pages are too long. Overall it reminds me of an ugly portal site.

Pros: They have a website?

This site is ok but nothing special. I don't feel like the designer tried hard, he just went with the norm and in a subpar manner might I add.
