I'm not sure where to begin. The design itself I actually like, but the usability here is horrible.
THe decision to center content yet keep some navigation in 5pt pixel font right justified 100% was a huge mistake. #1 I can barely read the font as small as it is, and #2 I shouldn't have to move my mouse 1000 pixels across the page in order to navigate the site.
I clicked on Alumni, and once there I had no way of getting to any other section of the site (at least from what I saw). As an end-user I would be frustrated to the point of leaving after 1-2 clicks.
The crazy thing is, I followed @TAdams over to the Alumni Resources to see what he was referring to... and there is some text that reads "You are currently viewing the Alumni home page - Return home" but that takes you back to the ALUMNI landing page... not the home page :\
I'm quite fond of the design, but the numerous usability issues present here simply cannot be overlooked...

@msteciuk: stop following me around, I'm tired of hearing your heels click-clocking everywhere I go!
@Stewart, tell @TAdams I'm no longer speaking to him...
I think @TAdams and @msteciuk need a time out.
