Sadly, I had nothing to do with the creation of this site. Nevertheless, I think it is really well done. I'm a big fan of the videos of campus used as a background in the Flash section (see: STUDENTS and/or FACULTY & STAFF).
It should perhaps be said that the light beige font might be a tad difficult to read under some conditions... but otherwise, I think this is the bee's knees. :)
Agreed, great job done here. The content is done superbly and is a pleasure to look at.
Thank you for the kind comments. As a designer, its always interesting to watch projects of this scale go from concept to completion, and tally the inevitable changes/compromises that take place a long the way.
That said, I think it turned out fairly well. Tons of improvements on the way as well.

This site is slick. There are very few university websites out there that are this well done. It's pretty impressive that the LSA site is better designed than the general university site.
I notice that the typography is very well done and has a classic, mature, traditional feel to it. BUT, as well, there are modern elements and pop elements that really stand out. The interesting thing is, they work together well, and there is a balance that is struck.
Top notch. Very nice. Fun to explore. Well designed.
Also, I like that the parents section says, "they still need you". Clever :-)
Great site. Clean and clear, and a lot of small details and well manicured graphics.
That makes the site look very professional.
I love the videos playing behind the static images.
The top nav has a problem on my browser (I'm running Firefox 3.0.1 on a Mac), the "Parents" text jumps to the left right underneath "Students" :(
Very clean and easy on the eyes.
The site is very clean and the use of colors is amazing! Also, they seemed to have put a lot of work into standards compliance. Much more so than some of the other sites around here.
