Athletics and Alumni links (on the main menu) need to be fixed.
When you mouseover the main menu items, the down-pointing arrow changes to an up-pointing arrow (of sorts), which I found very confusing from a user-experience standpoint. It made me think that clicking on the link will collapse it somehow, when the opposite is actually true.
This is a minor issue on a site that is otherwise fairly solid. I'm not enthusiastic about this design, although I can't quite put my finger on the precise reason.
I actually really like the design and think overall the site is done well. I agree 100% with the comments above. That Accuweather graphic is just silly on such an otherwise professional design.
The up arrows on rollover also threw me for a loop too.
I am not a fan of the weird quicklinks box either. Why not just have it as an option/select box? The search "button" is strange to me too. Why not just have an actual search box? Just seems unnecessary to require a user to click first before being able to search.
That top right corner of the site looks like it was suppose to be a quick jump area but my eyes just scanned past it, maybe introduce some highlight colors.
Overall the design of the site is clean and to the point.
Fonts used for the section headers on the homepage are nice, but they don't stand out enough. I think the background and the beige page are neat because of the textures they used. The links are interesting as well, but I think that there are too many. The drop down box feature for the individual links is nice, but would have liked to have seen the same arrow style used for both states (I like the arrow when the links for the section are showing).
The circles transition used for the main image doesn't appeal to me because everything is so boxy. It looks out of place to me. Would work better with a square transition.
Finally, would like to see the weather info fit the style of the section it is in and the welcome message be positioned below the main image so people with read it as a welcome and not a disclaimer about the navigation menu (thought it was instructions till I read it).

Why ruin it with that ugly AccuWeather bug? Otherwise, looks pretty good.
