Nick Denardis has posted a great video on his blog where he reviews of a few sites in the eduStyle gallery. It is pretty cool use of the site and I’m really looking forward to more of these. In the first episode:

@Cody Thanks! Interesting observation about the accent! I didn’t know I had one
Where would you say it was from?

Weird, I did not mean to make a _mad_ face I mean a : – x face. @Stewart any way of changing that?

I think this is a really good concept – the natural evolution of the internet shows we are moving from reading the content to watching the content.
That having been said, I would spend some considerable time on streamlining the amount of information contained within these video reviews. Most users do not read content, they scan or skim (see: Don’t Make Me Think) so the same could be said about video. If you wish to review a site in a video, do it in advance and THEN offer your thoughts in a clear, concise, and succinct manner taking 60 to 90 seconds TOPS! The result will seem much more professional and carry more merit rather than trying to hold a viewers attention while you review the site. Most of the people viewing the video have probably used EduStyle and ergo do not need to be told or taught what it is.
I hope you do not take these as aggressive criticisms but rather consider these comments as they are intended – suggestions for refining your delivery in the hopes of providing a top quality product. After all, that is what EduStyle is all about!
